Updates

There are various ways to keep your operating system and programs up-to-date:

Under Windows CE there is no operating system-specific update mechanism. Therefore, the only update option is to update the entire image. To find out which image is currently installed, there is a file in the folder \Hard Disk\ , which is named after the image name (including the version).

For Windows CE, these can be procured via http://download.beckhoff.com/download/software/embPC-Control.

Example of the file name structure on the CX9020 with TwinCAT 3.1 Build 4024.7:
