Homing interfaces
Figure 0-2 shows the NC control system with its interfaces that are relevant to homing. In the individual channels, homing for the assigned axes can be commanded either in the
- "Homing" mode or with the
- NC command G74 in the NC program.
Homing is parameter-defined for each individual NC axis in the axis parameter list [AXIS].
CNC interface
Regarding homing, CNC has an object interface with which
- Homing can be commanded from the GUI and
- the axis status can be queried by the control system.
HLI interface
The HLI interface is a memory-coupled interface with which the NC control system communicates with the PLC. This interface is documented in detail in [HLI]. Via the HLI interface:
- Homing can be commanded and
- the axis status can be queried.
The NC provides the cam signal via the HLI interface. Reading in the cam signal from the periphery and writing the signal into the HLI interface must be realized in the PLC (see also[HLI]).
Drive interface
NC axes with different drive types can be connected to the control system with the drive interface.
