The basic configuration of a machine, without options, consists of the following EtherCAT devices:

• 1 x ER9320-0022
• 2 x EP2008-0001
• 2 x EP1008-0001
• 1 x EP5101-0002

The following options can be added:

• "Automatic adjustable axis" option: 1 x EP7041-0002
• "Temperature measurement" option: 1 x EP3314-0002

The maximum expansion therefore contains the following EtherCAT devices:

• 1 x ER9320-0022
• 2 x EP2008-0001
• 2 x EP1008-0001
• 1 x EP5101-0002
• 1 x EP7041-0002 (option)
• 1 x EP3314-0002 (option)

Project this maximum expansion in the hardware configuration.

If the machine is ordered without options, deactivate the EtherCAT devices EP7041-0002 and EP3314-0002 in the project planning. To do this, inform ER9320-0022 via record data (acyclic communication) which EtherCAT devices are omitted. The EtherCAT devices are identified via their position:

• If the machine is ordered without options, deactivate the devices at positions 5 and 6.
• If the machine is ordered with the "automatic adjustable axis" option, only deactivate the EtherCAT device at position 7

Position of optional EtherCAT devices Optional EtherCAT devices can be present at any position in the EtherCAT network. As shown in the example, they do not have to be inserted at the end.
