Two M8 sockets at the upper end of the modules are provided for supply and downstream connection of EtherCAT P:
- IN: left M8 socket for EtherCAT P supply
- OUT: right M8 socket for downstream connection of EtherCAT P
The metal threads of the M8 EtherCAT P sockets are internally linked to the FE connection via high impedance RC combination. See chapter Functional earth (FE).
