EtherCAT with Fast Hot Connect (EP1122-8001 only)
EtherCAT connections with Fast Hot Connect are only compatible with EtherCAT connections that also support Fast Hot Connect. They are incompatible with normal EtherCAT connections.
An EtherCAT connection with Fast Hot Connect is indicated by a dashed line around the connection.
While the wire pairs can be swapped as required for EtherCAT connections ("Auto MDI-X"), the signals must be assigned correctly for EtherCAT connections with Fast Hot Connect.

Cabling
Use an uncrossed EtherCAT cable for the connection of two devices with Fast Hot Connect. The EtherCAT cables in the chapter Accessories are suitable uncrossed cables.
Fast Hot Connect inputs and Fast Hot Connect outputs are assigned in such a way that the signals are automatically connected correctly if you use an uncrossed cable.
