Power supply

The terminal requires two supply voltages for operation:

Notice

Fuse protection of the load voltage

The electrical fuse protection of the load voltage must be selected in such a way that the maximum current flowing is limited to 3 times the nominal current (max. 1 second)!

Notice

Malfunction due to equalizing currents on the protective conductor

In the event of a fault, the resulting equalizing currents can lead to higher currents on the return conductors of the circuits and can damage them and/or the product.

  • The load voltage and the 24 V control voltage must be designed uniformly as SELV or uniformly as PELV.
  • For this purpose, the power supplies for the load voltage and the 24 V control voltage must be designed as SELV (Safety Extra Low Voltage) with safe isolation so that there is no connection to ground, protective conductor or active parts of the two circuits.

    OR
  • Connect the power supplies for the load voltage and the 24 V control voltage as PELV (Protective Extra Low Voltage) with safe isolation by providing all-pole line protection for both circuits. Use a circuit breaker according to the power supply, e.g.
    circuit breaker 400 V 10 kA, 2-pole, B, 10 A, D = 70 mm, article number 5SY4210-6, manufacturer Siemens
