Note on load voltage supply

WARNING

Load voltage supply

Some devices permit an additional load voltage, e.g. 48 V DC, to be connected for the operation of a motor.
In order to avoid stray currents on the protective conductor during operation, EN 60204-1:2018 provides for the possibility that the negative pole of the load voltage does not necessarily have to be connected to the protective conductor system (SELV).
Therefore, the load voltage supply should be designed as an SELV supply.
