Shield connection in the terminal block

Attach the shield rail carrier 1 to the mounting rail 2 as shown in the figure. The mounting rail 2 must be connected to the metallic rear panel of the control cabinet over a large area. Mount the shield busbar 3 also as shown.

Connect the plug of the connecting cable 4 to the terminal and mark the point on the sheathing of the connecting cable where the cable crosses the shield busbar 3.

Now disconnect the plug again and carefully remove the sheathing of the connecting cable at the marking with an appropriate stripping tool so that the shielding braid 7 of the cable is visible.

Remove enough of the sheathing so that the clamper of the shield clamp 5 has secure contact over its entire width on the shield braid. Be careful not to damage the shielding braid and the strands of the connection cable! Now tighten the screw 6 and thus fix the clamper of the shield clamp 5 to the shielding braid 7.
