Switching outputs with preset values

The automatic switching function allows the outputs to be switched based on up to eight predefined threshold values per output. Two switching functions are available for selection:

  1. Switching function for counter value
This function enables the implementation of a digital cam controller
  2. Switching function for frequency value

The following overview shows the differences between the two switching functions. A detailed description of the setting options is given in the following chapters.
The following applies: n = 0 for output 1, n = 1 for output 2

Set reference value of the switching value

"Counter value (0)"
"Threshold base value" 0x8001:2n = 0

"Frequency value (2)
"Threshold base value" 0x8001:2n = 2

Set threshold values

"Threshold 1" ... "Threshold 8":
Position value, 32-bit

"Threshold 1" and "Threshold 2":
Position value, 32-bit

Set output state

Freely selectable TRUE or FALSE for
"Output state 1" ... "Output state 8"

Fixed
"Output state 1" = TRUE
"Output state 2" = FALSE
"Output state 3 ... "Output state 8" are not available

Set switching duration

"Duration 1" ... "Duration 8"
max. 24,000 µs
(0 = waits for next switching value)

Not available

Set number of valid switch values

"Number of output events" = 1 ... 8

"Number of output events" = 1 (hysteresis)
"Number of output events" = 2

Set active counting direction

Forward and backward:
"Disable threshold cw = FALSE
and
"Disable threshold ccw = FALSE

Forward only:
"Disable threshold cw = FALSE
and
"Disable threshold ccw = TRUE

Only backwards:
"Disable threshold cw = TRUE
and
"Disable threshold ccw = FALSE

Not available

Activate automatic switching function

"Enable threshold output" = TRUE
