Overview of process data (PDO)
The EL40xx terminals have a static process image that cannot be changed. Depending on the terminal, "Analog output" channels 1…8 are offered for linking.
No channels can be deselected.
Description of the PDOs of the EL40xx terminals
Direction | PDO | PDO name | Real-time behavior | Data type | CoE Index | Default value | Meaning |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Output (from the controller) | AO Outputs Channel n | Analog output | Real-time: cyclically transmitted PDO | INT16 (16-bit signed) | 0x160n | 0 | Setpoint of the analog output |
Input (to the controller) | WcState | WcState | Non-real-time: is not transmitted by the EtherCAT slave, but shown for this EtherCAT slave by the EtherCAT master and displays diagnostic information | BIT | - | 0 | Cyclic checking of the EtherCAT data exchange. |
InfoData | State | UINT16 | - | 0 | State of the EtherCAT slave. | ||
AdsAddr | 8-byte structure | - | variable | ADS address under which this EtherCAT slave is reachable in the TwinCAT system for acyclic communication, e.g. to the CoE |
