Compensation of the supply line resistance, 0x80n0:1B

When measuring resistance with the two-wire technique, the firmware can take the line resistance into account, provided it is made known to it. For this purpose, the separately measured static supply line resistance can be entered in the CoE object 0x80n0:1B "Wire calibration 1/32 ohm". It is then taken into account in the firmware. (unit [1/32 Ω]). An example of the calculation can be found in the chapter "Basics of RTD technology" of the IO Analog Manual.

However, line changes occurring after commissioning (temperature change, corrosion) are not detected in this way! The use of 3- or 4-wire connection technology is recommended for this purpose.
