EL3174-0030 – Introduction
EtherCAT Terminal, 4-channel analog input, multi-function, ±10 V, ±20 mA, 16-bit, externally calibrated
The EL3174-0030 analog input terminal has four individually parameterizable inputs. Signals either in the range -10/0 … +10 V or in the range -20/0/+4 … +20 mA can be processed per channel. Physically, the voltage and current signals should be connected to different terminal points. Each channel should then be set by the controller/TwinCAT to U or I mode via CoE. The voltage inputs operate differentially; the current inputs are single-ended. All inputs are digitized with a resolution of 16 bits and transmitted, electrically isolated, to the higher-level automation device. With a technical measuring range of ±107 % of the nominal range, the terminal also supports commissioning with sensor values in the limit range and the evaluation according to NAMUR NE43.
An individual calibration certificate for each terminal is available for the EL3174-0030, currently in the form of either a DAkkS or ISO 17025 certificate. This certificate is issued by an accredited service provider in cooperation with Beckhoff.
The desired calibration certificate can be downloaded here using the respective identification number.
![]() | 107 % extended range The EL3174/ EL3174-00xx are pre-set to 107 % measuring range, e.g. 0x7FFF corresponds to +10.737 V or 3.22 V. The previously known legacy range can be reset via CoE access. Then 0x7FFF will correspond to the full scale value again (FSV, e.g. 10 V/ 3 V). |
