EL2838 | EtherCAT Terminal, 8-channel digital output, 24 V DC, 2 A, with channel diagnostics

The EL2838 digital output terminal establishes an electrically isolated connection between the binary control signals of the automation device and the actuators at process level. Each EtherCAT Terminal has eight channels that indicate their signal state via light emitting diodes. The EL2838 is protected against polarity reversal and processes load currents with outputs protected against overload and short-circuiting.

The integrated diagnostics can be evaluated in the controller and are indicated by the LEDs. A diagnostic bit is set for the affected channel if there is an overload. The diagnostics serve to simplify the maintenance of the application.

In the EL2838, the outputs are supplied via the 24 V power contact. The power contacts are looped through. Single-wire conductors can be connected without tools using the direct plug-in technique.
