Introduction
EtherCAT Terminals, 1 channel pulse train output, incremental encoder simulation, 24 V DC, 1 A
The EL2521-0024 and EL2521-0025 output terminals output a pulse sequence to downstream receiving devices such as motor output stages. For this purpose, it has 2 output channels A and B on the hardware side, the relationship between which can be set, e.g. as a direction-dependent encoder characteristic. The EL2521-xxxx supports two functions
- Pulse output with variable frequency
- Travel mode: pulse output with variable frequency and number of pulses
The EtherCAT Terminals indicate their signal state by means of light-emitting diodes. The LEDs are clocked with the outputs and each displays an active output.
- In the EL2521-0024 the two output channels are designed as potential-free FET switches and can be supplied externally.
- In the EL2521-0025 the two output channels are ground switching, potential-free FET switches and can also be supplied externally. Note the logic reversal in the control.
Terminals EL2521-0024 and EL2521-0025 have two digital inputs, +T and +Z, which can be used to read the “Ready”, “In target”, or “At speed” signals from a variable frequency drive and process them in the control. The signals are not given any pre-processing.
