Status Byte
The first two bits of the status byte for each channel indicate whether a rising or falling edge has been detected or latched. The other bits are intended for future purpose and shall not be evaluated.

The flags will signal only, if the terminal selected in the system tree is set to “Single Event” instead of “Continuous” under
„EtherCAT→Advanced Settings“: Distributed Clock/ Latch for the relevant event:
The flags are not reset until the respective LatchPosXXXY variables are then read.
Performance Please be sure that the technical possibilities offered by the EL1252/EL1254 are exploited fully by providing high input signal quality, avoiding contact bounce and line interference, and by providing an input signal with sufficiently short rise and fall times! |
