Failure of the power supply

The bootloader may be corrupted if the update is interrupted. The EK9320 thus becomes unusable and must be sent in for repair. Ensure a stable power supply during initial start-up and do not interrupt the update.

The new image will be copied directly to the MicroSD card in order to update the image of the EK9320. The new image is made available by Beckhoff Service. Perform the update only after consulting with Beckhoff Service.

Requirements:

Update the image as follows:

1. Switch the EK9320 off and remove the MicroSD card from the Buscoupler.
2. Insert the MicroSD card into an external card reader and open the MicroSD card's folder tree.
3. Delete all files and folders on the MicroSD card.
4. Copy all files and folders of the new image to the empty MicroSD card.
Re-install the MicroSD card in the Buscoupler and start the device.
The data structure required for the operation of the coupler is now generated and stored on the MicroSD card. The image has now been successfully updated.
