Configuring EtherCAT Terminals

In this chapter the EL3062 EtherCAT Terminal is used to illustrate how to configure EtherCAT Terminals with the Beckhoff Device Manager.

Further information on the parameters and their meaning for any EtherCAT Terminal can be found in the corresponding documentation. For example, for the EL3062 under: Commissioning > Object description and parameterization > Configuration data.

Requirements:

Configure EtherCAT Terminals as follows:

1. Click on EtherCAT, then on Master.
2. Click on an EtherCAT Terminal you wish to configure.
The parameters of the EtherCAT Terminal are displayed.
3. Under Parameters you can change the values for the EtherCAT Terminal.
Configuring EtherCAT Terminals  1:
The settings are stored in the EtherCAT Terminal. Please note that the settings will be lost when you replace the EtherCAT Terminal with a new one.
In order to retain the settings, you can save them in a Restore file (see: Using Restore file).
