Installing the USB driver
Allocated IP address The USB driver is not fully installed, if the IP address 172.21.42.15 on the host PC is already allocated. |
To access the Beckhoff Device Manager of the EK3100 Bus Coupler, the corresponding USB driver first has to be installed on the host PC.
After successful installation, the driver simulates an additional local Ethernet interface on the host PC with the fixed IP address: 172.21.42.15 and subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Requirements:
- IP address 172.21.42.15 is not already used on the host PC.
- USB driver for the host PC: --- FEHLENDER LINK ---

- EK9XXX_RNDIS6_WIN10.ZIP

Install the USB driver as follows:
- 1. Use a USB cable to connect the EK3100 Bus Coupler to the host PC and start the Bus Coupler.
The device Beckhoff Automation GmbH EK Series USB appears in the device manager of the host PC. - 2. Click on Beckhoff Automation GmbH EK Series USB, then on Update Driver Software.
- 3. Specify the correct file path and install the driver on the host PC.
- The USB driver has been installed successfully if the additional Ethernet interface Beckhoff Automation GmbH EK9XXX Series USB RNDIS6 appears in the device manager.
In the next step you can start the Beckhoff Device Manager.
