MicroSD card installation and removal

MicroSD card installation and removal 1:

Loss of data

MicroSD cards are subjected to heavy load during operation and have to withstand many write cycles and extreme ambient conditions. MicroSD cards from other manufacturer may fail, resulting in data loss.

Only use industrial MicroSD cards provided by Beckhoff.

The card for the operating system must be inserted in the upper slot (Slot 1). The lower slot (Slot 2) is intended for a further MicroSD card. Data or additional programs can be stored here.

The eject mechanism is based on the push/push principle. The installation and removal of the MicroSD cards is illustrated in the following.

Removing the MicroSD card

  1. Gently push the MicroSD card.
