Creating CX7050 as master

If the CX7050 is to be created as a CANopen master, it can be scanned for the device in TwinCAT and additionally all slaves connected in it can be created automatically. The following section illustrates how to create a CANopen master in TwinCAT.

Requirements for this step:

Create the CANopen device as follows:

1. In the tree view on the left, right-click on Devices.
2. In the context menu click Scan.
Creating CX7050 as master 1:
3. Select the devices you want to use and confirm the selection with OK.
Creating CX7050 as master 2:
4. Confirm the request with Yes to search for boxes.
The window Select Baudrate appears.
5. Under Baudrate select the appropriate baud rate for the CANopen master.
Creating CX7050 as master 3:
All found devices and slave boxes are displayed in the tree view on the left. The bus terminals connected to the devices or slave boxes are also displayed.
Creating CX7050 as master 4:
Repeat the steps if not all devices are displayed. If not all devices and slave boxes are found despite the repeat operation, check the cabling of the devices and slave boxes.
