Beckhoff RT Linux®
This chapter describes the WLAN configuration under Beckhoff RT Linux®. It addresses two operating modes:
- operation as a WLAN client (connection to an existing access point)
- and operation as a virtual access point with hostapd.
The prerequisites (iwd, suitable WLAN firmware; additionally hostapd for AP operation) and the necessary steps are discussed: installation, use of the configuration examples for systemd-networkd, establishing connections as well as DHCP and firewall configuration (nftables). The aim is to operate the Beckhoff system as a WLAN client or as an access point and to manage the connected clients.
