Charging the UPS

The UPS is charged as soon as a 24 V power supply unit is connected to the Uin input of the UPS and switched on. In standard operation, the load connected to the UPS is immediately supplied by the UPS and the energy carrier of the UPS is continuously charged.

This step shows how you can charge the UPS in order to commission or store the UPS in a charged state. For this you need a 24 V power supply unit and the Beckhoff UPS.

Proceed as follows:

1. Connect a 24-V power supply to the Uin input of the UPS.
2. Switch on the 24 V power supply.
The UPS is charging. The DIAG LED flashes green.
3. c) Charge the UPS completely.
The DIAG LED lights up permanently green as soon as the UPS is fully charged.
4. Switch off the 24 V power supply.
The UPS is switched off after four minutes. The UPS can then be stored or shipped in the charged state.
