Permissible installation positions

Mount the CU81x0-0xx0 UPS horizontally on a DIN rail in the control cabinet to ensure optimum heat dissipation. The ventilation openings are located on the top and bottom of the housing. This creates an optimum airflow that passes vertically through the CU81x0-0xx0 UPS.

Observe the following requirements for the control cabinet:

• Maintain the minimum clearances of 30 mm above and below the CU81x0-0xx0 UPS.
• Operate the CU81x0-0xx0 UPS only within the specified ambient temperature range. To determine the ambient temperature correctly, measure the temperature 30 mm below the CU81x0-0xx0 UPS.
• Other electrical devices affect heat generation in the control cabinet. Select an appropriately sized control cabinet for the application, or ensure that excess heat is dissipated from the control cabinet.
