Disconnecting the power supply and cables

Disconnecting the panel PC during a thunderstorm can lead to electric shock.

  • Never disconnect the cables from the device during thunderstorms.

Before you remove the panel PC from the control cabinet, you must disconnect the power supply and the cables. Follow the steps below:

1. Shut down the operating system.
2. Disconnect the panel PC from your external 24 V power supply.
3. Unscrew the 5-pin voltage connector and pull it out of the PC.
4. Remove the power supply cable if the five-pin connector is to remain with the PC.
5. Make a note of the wiring of all data transmission cables if you want to restore the cabling with another device.
6. Disconnect all data transmission cables from the panel PC.
7. Finally, disconnect the ground connection.
You have disconnected the power supply and the cables.
