Geometry and machining data
In the case of cycle calls there are two types of parameters:
- parameters for geometry and
- machining parameters
The geometry parameters include data for the definition of
- reference plane
- retraction plane
- safety clearance
- absolute or relative machining depth
which are required for all cycles and additional data for
- machining specific coordinates

The machining parameters have a specific meaning and effect and are described in greater detail in the corresponding cycles. They mainly include technological information like dwell times, number of infeed motions, turning directions and so on, which are necessary for the machining process.
With the geometry and machining parameters the transfer parameters of the corresponding cycle are defined.
