Mounting EtherCAT P Box module
The integrated EtherCAT P connection of the industrial PC enables you to connect actuators/sensors directly via IP67-protected EtherCAT P Box modules. These act as EtherCAT P slaves, while the C7015 is used as master. For more information on the Box modules, refer to the EPP1xxx documentation.
You have two options for mounting the modules:
- The separate mounting of the modules in the immediate vicinity of the industrial PC.
- Direct mounting on the industrial PC via a mounting bracket (order designation: C9900-M688).
To mount the module to the PC using the mounting bracket, follow the steps below, shown in Figure 16:
- 1. Mount the mounting bracket on the right side panel of the industrial PC using the four M5 screws (section A).
- 2. Mount the module to the mounting bracket using the two M3 screws (section B).
- You have mounted the EtherCAT P Box module on the industrial PC.
