Disassembly and disposal

Before you can remove the industrial PC, you must first disconnect the power supply and the cables (see chapter 6.1 Disconnecting the power supply and cables).

Regardless of whether you have mounted the industrial PC inside or outside a control cabinet, you must proceed in the same way for disassembly. To do this, loosen the fastening screws. Be sure to hold the device while loosening and removing the screws.

Figure 22 shows the three possible cases according to the orientation of the industrial PC:

Disassembly EtherCAT P Box module

If you have mounted an EtherCAT P Box module directly on the PC, you must loosen the four M4 screws on the rear panel of the assembly to remove it from the wall.

To remove the EtherCAT P Box module from the industrial PC, follow the steps below (see Fig. 24):

1. Loosen the two M3 screws to remove the module from the mounting bracket (section A).
2. Loosen the four M5 screws to remove the mounting bracket from the side panel of the PC (section B).

Disposal of the industrial PC

Be sure to observe the national electronic scrap regulations when disposing of the industrial PC.

In order to dispose of the device, it must be removed and fully dismantled. Dispose of the components in the following way:
