Power supply
The industrial PC is supplied with a nominal voltage of 24 V. The 4-pin voltage socket (X101) is used for connection to the power supply and the external wiring of the industrial PC. The main supply voltage is applied between PIN 1 (0 V) and PIN 2 (24 V) of the socket.
Pin | Signal | Description |
---|---|---|
4 | P-S | Power status output |
3 | PC-ON | Input PC-ON |
2 | 24 V | Power supply |
1 | GND | 0 V |
The plug for the power supply is specified for 16 A and can accommodate wire cross-sections of up to 2.5 mm2. Always use wire cross-sections of 2.5 mm2 to achieve a low voltage drop on the supply cables. The cable length is limited to a maximum of 5 m. The nominal supply voltage for the device is 24 V. A nominal voltage of at least 22 V must be applied to the power supply plug of the industrial PC at all times so that the industrial PC remains switched on, even during peak currents. The plug is included in the scope of delivery. You can obtain a replacement plug from your Beckhoff Sales using the following ordering option:
- C9900-P961
When the CPU turbo mode is used and/or a high load on the plugged-in graphics card occurs, transient peak currents that are twice as high as the specified nominal current for the PC configuration can occur (see power consumption and power loss data sheet in the Download Finder: https://www.beckhoff.com/en-en/support/download-finder/search-result/?download_group=691754572). Beckhoff therefore recommends that a power supply that meets this requirement be implemented.
A maximum cable length of 30 m is permissible for the Power Status output.
