The power supply is connected via the IEC socket (X101) on the rear side of the industrial PC. The assignment includes a protective conductor (1), a neutral conductor (2) and an outer conductor (2).

Optionally, you can order the industrial PC with a 24 V DC power supply. In this case, the industrial PC is supplied with a nominal voltage of 24 V. A 3-pin socket is used for the connection of the power supply (X101) as well as the external wiring (X102) of the industrial PC.

The main supply voltage is applied between PIN 1 (24 V) and PIN 3 (0 V) of the voltage socket (X101).

The positive pole of the supply voltage at PIN 1 of the voltage socket (X101) is looped through to PIN 3 of the socket (X102). PIN 3 thus serves as the positive pole for PC-ON.

Supply voltage and positive pole for PC-ON

The plug for the power supply can accommodate wire cross-sections up to 4 mm2. Always use 4 mm2 and a maximum length of 10 m for the supply cable in order to achieve a low voltage drop on the supply cables. At least 22 V should be present at the power supply plug of the device so that the device remains switched on in the event of voltage fluctuations. The connector for external wiring with PC-ON input and power status output can accommodate wire cross-sections of up to 1.5 mm2. Both connectors are included in the scope of delivery. Replacement plugs are available from your Beckhoff sales representative using the following ordering options:
