Changing the standard password
Change the password for the administrator account, which should always be one of the first steps when you get a new system.
Change password in the console
You can change the password of the currently logged-in user with the command passwd. When Beckhoff RT Linux® is delivered, a user (Administrator) is available by default, with which you can log in to the console.
- 1. Start Beckhoff RT Linux®.
- 2. Log in with the user name
Administratorand the password1. - 3. Enter the command
passwdin order to set a new password for Beckhoff RT Linux® . Follow the instructions. - 4. The current password is requested first. The new password must then be entered twice. The change takes effect immediately.
