First system startup

Supply the industrial PC with power to start it. If you have connected a monitor to the industrial PC, you will see the system boot process. Then, during the Beckhoff RT Linux^® boot phase, various messages appear, ending with the login prompt:

Enter for the login Administrator and confirm with Enter. For the password query, use the password you assigned during the installation.

When entering your password, no characters are displayed – this is normal security behavior in Linux®, which prevents others from seeing the length of your password.

In the case of an Arm®-based installation and for Beckhoff devices supplied by Beckhoff, use the default password 1. The password should be changed immediately after logging in (see: Changing the standard password).

After successful login, a welcome message similar to the following will be displayed:
