Example for a vertical travel drive

The task

A load of 1000 kg is to be lowered by 1 m within 6 s.

Procedure

  1. Calculation of the potential load

Differentiation between peak and continuous load:

Long braking times (> 1 s) no longer represent a peak load but a continuous load. Therefore, the continuous load must be added directly when calculating the braking power.

Please note:

For very short braking times (<1 s), the time can be considered in relation to the total cycle time.^t
