External braking resistor

You have the option of connecting an external braking resistor to dissipate the braking energy. An external braking resistor is always required if the internally installed braking resistor is not sufficient.

Protection rating IP65

Thanks to the high protection class and thus complete contact protection, the braking resistors are designed to withstand dust, dirt and moisture from water jets when mounted outside the control cabinet.

UL and CSA marking

The braking resistors in the AX2090-BW65-04xx and AX2090-BW65-15xx series are marked as a "UL Recognized Component" in accordance with the applicable UL and CSA safety requirements and bear the test number E217179. You may therefore use the braking resistors in products, plants or systems that bear the UL test mark.

Heat conversion

Regenerative energy is converted into heat via the external braking resistors from the AX2090-BW65 series when braking a servomotor.
