Safety Parameters

The safety parameters can be configured as already known in TwinCAT 2. The user can edit and save the desired safety parameters which are downloaded to the safety terminal (or Safety PLC) at download and are sent to the in- or output terminals at system startup.

Standard alias devices do not have safety parameters, as it is only a link to a standard variable within the TwinCAT 3 overall project.

Important: The linking of a standard alias device can only be done when the target system of the safety project is mapped to a physical device (or Safety PLC Runtime).
