Installing additional fonts
If your applications require additional fonts, for example: Symbol or Wingdings, you must make them available in a directory on your CE device.
The target directory on your CE device is: \Hard Disk\System\Fonts.
Proceed as follows to change the standard font:
- 1. Store the font in the directory named above.
Note: There should only be one font in this folder.
- 2. Click Start > Run…
- 3. Enter regedit in the input field.
- 4. Confirm this action with OK.
- 5. Click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > FontPath.
- 6. Double-click FontPath.
- 7. Enter the file path named above.
- 8. Restart the system.
- The standard font has now been changed.
Proceed as follows to make more fonts available:
- 1. Store the fonts in the directory named above.
- 2. Click Start > Run…
- 3. Enter regedit in the input field.
- 4. Confirm this action with OK.
- 5. Click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > System > Explorer > Shell Folders.
- 6. Double-click Fonts.
- 7. Enter the file path named above.
- 8. Restart the system.
- The new fonts are now available.
