Status byte in process data exchange (REG=0)
The status byte is transferred from the terminal to the controller. The status byte contains various status bits of the KL5001 SSI encoder interface terminal.

Bit | Description |

ERROR | A general fault has occurred. This bit is set if a FRAME error or SSI_IN error has occurred, |
PFB* | Power Failure Bit: indicates the status of the supply voltage of SSI encoders that support this function. |
FRAME_E | The data frame is wrong, i.e. the data frame is not terminated with zero (perhaps wire breakage on clock cables). |
SSI_IN_E | The SSI input of terminal is on low level, if no data transmission occurs. (SSI has no power supply, or there is a wire breakage on SSI data input D+ or D-, or the data lines have been swapped). |
